Texas-born conductor and organist Weston Jennings is artistic director of New Texas Sinfonia. He began his lifelong love for music at an early age with piano studies from the age of five. At the age of sixteen he turned his attention to the pipe organ after being introduced to the 'King of Instruments' at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in Michigan. Weston received his early formal training from the Eastman School of Music, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Music and Performer's Certificate in 2013.
Soon after his graduation from Eastman, Weston moved to England where he took on the role of Organ Scholar at Canterbury Cathedral, London's Royal Festival Hall, and Chelmsford Cathedral over a period of two years. During this time he played an integral role in the musical lives of these centuries-old institutions, and directed a number of musical ensembles both instrumental and choral.
Weston returned to the United States in 2015 for graduate studies at the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music. He currently resides in Tyler, Texas where he is the Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church.
