Beginning with the sparkling sound of sleigh bells, Mahler’s Fourth Symphony takes the listener on a grand, sunlit journey from earth to heaven. Unlike his other symphonies, joy, humor and delight run through the work, concluding with a child’s vision of heaven, sung by a solo soprano.
New Texas Sinfonia is delighted to be joined by internationally-acclaimed soprano Molly Fillmore whose vibrant voice will give life to this masterpiece by Gustav Mahler.
